Creating the sense of anticipation and discovery that keeps scientists asking questions…...

Australian Amateur Research Telescope

Astronomy is the THE last frontier. It is one of the world’s oldest sciences, but just when we think we know it all, astronomers and space researchers discover something else truly amazing.  Astronomy is one of few sciences where amateurs still make a significant contribution.

Conformations, follow-ups, and potentially discoveries of Asteroids that are out of reach of northern hemisphere telescopes.

Working with schools to provide practical activities  to enhance the science curriculum.

The ASA’s fast f3.8 optics, a broad range of Astrodon 3nM filters, and the Finger Lakes Class 1 sensor offer the finest Astrometery toolset available to the Amateur Astronomer.

Using the full capabilities of the ASA optics and the Finger Lakes CCD to capture the astounding beauty of the southern sky.
